A SIMPLE, LOCAL-FIRST EXPERIENCE

Privacy & Your Browser

Understand how the SateliteAPI.com static website uses local browser preferences, entered coordinates, search, email links and external documentation links.

What the supplied website does.

This notice describes the website files in the SateliteAPI.com launch release. The browser tools calculate results on your device. Site search uses a bundled search index. The sample API explorer reads a local JavaScript data object; it does not send requests to a commercial satellite provider.

The supplied files contain no analytics tags, advertising pixels, account system, payment collection or contact form. Fonts, scripts, styles and visual assets are hosted with the site. Loading a page does not require a third-party font or image service.

Coordinates and tool inputs.

Coordinates and other tool values are processed in the current browser session. The launch tools do not transmit those values to a remote endpoint and do not automatically request your device’s location. A file is created on your device only when you choose a download action.

The copy actions use your browser’s clipboard capability when available. They run after you activate the relevant button. Your browser may restrict clipboard access; in that case the page provides a manual copy option or tells you what to select.

The motion preference.

The decorative-motion control stores one preference in browser local storage under satelite-motion. It remembers whether you paused the site’s ambient animations. You can change the setting using the footer control or remove it by clearing this site’s browser data. If local storage is unavailable, the site continues without saving the preference.

The pages also respect your device’s reduced-motion setting. That system preference is read in the browser; the supplied code does not send it to another service.

Search and web-server requests.

Search results are calculated locally. If you submit the search form, the search phrase appears in the page URL so the result can be revisited. Avoid entering private information into a search URL, which can appear in browser history or shared links.

Like other hosted websites, the web server or hosting provider may record ordinary request information, such as the requested URL and technical connection data. The scope and retention of those records depend on the hosting configuration and are separate from the static files. This notice does not assert that hosting logs are disabled.

Email and external resources.

Email links open your chosen email application. Any message you send to [email protected] is handled by the email services involved. External documentation links take you to independently operated websites with their own practices.

Questions or changes.

For privacy questions, use [email protected]. If analytics, accounts, server-side tools or additional integrations are introduced later, the site operator should update this notice to reflect their actual behavior.
