Accessibility & Motion
Explore SateliteAPI.com accessibility features: keyboard navigation, reduced motion, readable guides, text-based tool results, SVG descriptions and direct feedback.
Use the site your way.
The launch site uses semantic headings, navigational landmarks, descriptive links and a skip-to-content link. Pages contain their main content in HTML, so the guides remain readable without JavaScript. The complete site map provides direct links to every section, article and tool.
Keyboard navigation.
Use Tab and Shift+Tab to move through links and controls. Focus outlines identify the current element. Menus use native links and disclosure controls; the mobile navigation exposes its expanded state, and Escape closes open navigation. Article contents links jump directly to sections.
Control the movement.
The footer includes a decorative-motion control. Pausing motion stops ambient CSS animations across the page, including spinning rings, drifting continents and the topic ticker. The site also respects the system preference for reduced motion. The orbit explorer and globe studio provide additional controls for their own demonstrations.
Moving globe elements are decorative unless a tool explicitly explains their meaning. The orbit explorer presents numerical results alongside its canvas, so understanding the model does not depend only on following a moving point.
Read, zoom and print.
Article layouts adapt to narrower screens. Images include descriptive alternative text, and the downloadable SVG illustrations contain a title and description. Browser zoom and the print action can provide another way to read the long guides. Tables and code samples can scroll when their content needs more horizontal space.
Browser tools.
Inputs have associated labels and relevant range information. Coordinate conversion reports invalid values and prevents exporting a stale invalid result. Search and copy feedback use textual status messages. Decorative graphics are hidden from assistive technology where they would duplicate nearby information.
Feedback and verification.
These features describe the implementation; they are not a claim of third-party certification or a completed assistive-technology audit. If you encounter a barrier, email [email protected] with the page, browser or assistive technology, and the task you were trying to complete.
